Coddiwomple Walks has been established to encourage people from the communities of Prestwich, Whitefield and beyond to ‘get active’ by joining us on our weekly wellbeing walks.
Coddiwomple Walks are pleased to advise that we have been successful with funding bids to The Parklife Community Fund, Bury Wellness Investment Programme (for Prestwich and Bury West) and The Majors Challenge Fund (GMCA).
We want to promote and encourage physical activity, mental wellbeing, social cohesion, and engagement. Our walks will be informal, friendly activities. ALL are welcome, including pets. Some walks are suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, but please do check in advance.
Walks take place in local parks and in the ‘countryside on our doorsteps’ and are, 3 to 5 miles in length. Some longer walks will be introduced throughout the project. At the end of every walk there will be the opportunity for a brew and a chat with the walk leader and other participants.
ALL WALKS TAKE PLACE ON A WEDNESDAY MORNING AND ARE APPROXIMATELY 1.5 TO 2 HOURS IN DURATION.
MEET AT THE BARN COUNTRYSIDE CENTRE, M45 7QJ AT 10AM.
Coddiwomple Walks will then break for the summer, reconvening with a walk on Wednesday September 3rd.
No need to book, just turn up – for further information contact pete@ncagb.co.uk
